On The Rise Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Resource Family Agency meeting the needs of abused and neglected children throughout San Bernardino and Riverside County in California. The organization recruits, trains, and certifies foster parents to assist Children & Family Services. They are seeking bridge financing to cover operating expenses. Loan repayment will be made when they receive payment of the Employee Retention Credit that they have been approved for.

Who They Are: On The Rise, Inc.

On the Rise Inc. (OTR) is a nonprofit Resource Family Agency dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care by providing services that recognize the diverse backgrounds of children and non-minor dependents based on trauma-informed practices and in collaboration with other human services agencies and the community.

OTR recruits, trains, and certifies individuals to become foster parents. They are contracted with San Bernardino and Riverside County to provide foster homes for children who have been abused and neglected. When children are placed in OTR’s foster homes, they are provided with case management services in addition to reunification services to meet the child’s case plan.

Use of Proceeds & Repayment

The proceeds from this loan will provide On The Rise Inc. with working capital to assist with payroll, reduce credit card debt, insurance renewal, and provide start-up funding for the Intensive Services Foster Care component of their program.

This loan is needed to bridge a funding gap that will be resolved when the organization receives payment of the Employee Retention Credit in approximately 9-12 months.

Why Support this Program

This loan will allow OTR to make timely federal tax deposits, renew their insurance policies which are required for their contracts and better serve foster youth that are experiencing severe emotional behaviors through the Intensive Services Foster Care program.

The journey began when On the Rise Inc. was established in 2015 by the Executive Director Kimberly Hammack.

Kimberly Hammack has over 18 years of experience working in social services. Her vision in founding On the Rise Inc. derives from a deep passion for helping children and families. Working in social services for so many years she saw the struggle these children and families face while being in foster care.

With a lot of time, dedication, and hard work, she persisted in her vision of creating a compassionate foster family agency that truly makes these children feel at home. At the end of the day what is most important to On the Rise Inc. is that these children are safe, loved, and placed with families who will help them grow.
